We love our runners, and we are always trying to find as many ways as possible to look after you :) 

So, along with our industry leading refund and exchange policies, we also have 'LATE MATE'

**PLEASE NOTE LATE MATE DOES NOT APPLY TO OUR TRIATHLON EVENTS DUE TO THE SWIM WAVE PLANNING NEEDED**

LATE MATE allows you to transfer your race entry to a friend once the normal 14 days pre-event cut off has passed (up to 48 hours before the event day.)

Why LATE MATE? ... once we get within 14 days of an event, all our medical, insurance and operational plans are set up ready, so we can't make any system changes. 

We've know, however, runners 'swap numbers' ahead of the day and simply put this isn't safe... if something happens, we don't know who we're helping! 

Rather than fight this and 'preach policy' we've put a safer system in place, so we can look after our runners  :) 

nb: up to 14 days before the event you can move to another event or self-transfer your entry to a friend. Late mate covers between 13 days and 48 hours pre-event. 

Right... here's our list of rules ;)

• Must be completed by the originally entered runner 
• For larger races such as the Doncaster 10K where we post out race numbers, you are responsible for arranging the delivery of the race number (as this will have already been dispatched to the original address)
• For smaller events, we give race numbers out at registration so your late mate race number will be ready to collect at registration. 
• If you are selling your number, this is purely a private agreement that Curly's won't be involved in so don't ask us for any money as we won't have it ; ) 
• You won't be eligible for prizes on the day (if you are called out for a prize you must inform us)
• Results- you may not appear on the live results (or will show in the original name) These will be amended on the final set of results (published 72 hours post event)
• Shout outs-on the day our team may shout out the wrong name so listen out for the existing name! 
• YOU MUST fill out the NEW medical information on the back of the race number 
• If your race number has personalised information printed (like a name on the front), this will be the original information. 
• LATE MATE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR OUR TRIATHLON EVENTS DUE TO THE SWIM WAVE PLANNING
• Due to the last minute nature of the system; new entrants may not receive confirmation of their place in the event until 24 hours before the event.
