2024 saw us welcome on board the Singleton Birch team as our headline sponsor!
We are incredibly excited to be supporting Curly’s Athletes for 2024 in North Lincolnshire.
This year we will proudly be the headline sponsor for our local Brigg Poppy 10k, alongside with supporting Curlys to continue their amazing free FUNETICS coaching programme for kids based at the fantastic Quibell Park Athletics track in Scunthorpe.
Singleton Birch are pleased to be supporting the North Lincolnshire community to get active, grow our local events, bring more visitors to the area and support great charities.
Curlys ethos and approach is a great reflection of our team's values, and we look forward to a lasting partnership supporting our community and having some fun.
Curlys are delighted to have the support of the Singleton Birch team for 2024. Their support further helps us develop our events, support our charity aims and our BIG ambition to get our communities moving.
We are really looking forward to seeing us grow the Brigg Poppy 10k experience and develop the free funetics coaching programme for our junior athletes in Scunthorpe.
It’s going to be an exciting time working in partnership with the lovely Singleton Birch team, who are just as excited as we are and we’ve had lots of very excitable chats about the future!
2024 marked 80 years since the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy that eventually led to the liberation of France and Europe.
While in the grand scheme of things we're just a small happy gang of community sporting event organisers, the nature of our Brigg Poppy 10k event means we have a unique opportunity to recognise those many brave people who fought for our freedom.
So our 2024 medal is a nod to those northern beaches in France, and the brave soles who went, many of which didn't return.
Almost impossible to imagine, but not possible to forget.
Take care
Curly
Our t-shirts are an optional extra, priced at £11.
T-shirt profits support our charities or support our free events we deliver... either through a direct contribution or we convert the money into discounted free race entries for the charity (allowing them to do even more fundraising!) ... so thanks for your support.
"Encourage" your friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor your endeavours :)
Simply visit the just giving page here and create your own event.
We will also prompt you when you sign up for the event :)
