We're back and it's our 11th year! We can't wait to welcome you once again to the fantastic Normanby Hall Adventure Race 2026 :)
NEW FOR 2026 WE HAVE A 5KM OPTION!!!
The events take place over around our cross country horse course, with water / mud / sand / crawl nets and jumps... lots and lots of jumps (a few cheeky little hills and a swamp!) . Designed for ponies conquered by athletes :)
How the course is, all depends on the weather before the big day... and we've had some very very fun years!
Everyone gets a cake and a medal, but you choose if you want to add a funky event t-shirt. These are specially designed with a theme for each event and every year is different.
Profits from our clothing sales go to supporting free spots for our charity partners, direct donations or support our free coaching sessions or hiring communities venues to offer back to the running community :)
Whether you're in it for the challenge and chasing times, positions or pb's or if you're doing it just for fun with friends, it's the perfect fun filled running adventure :)
Our 2025 event and charity partner was The Scunthorpe Samaritans team, they joined us for plenty of fun on the day!.
We're here to help spread awareness about the incredible work they do.
Find out more about the Samaritans here! We love our Scunthorpe Samaritans friends, and were very proud that we get the opportunity to be alongside them :)
Scunthorpe Samaritans,
"These are tough times right now and more people may find themselves struggling to cope. We are proud to be partnering again with Curlys Athletes for the Normanby Hall Adventure Race. It is fantastic fun and a great way to help look after your own mental health while helping ensure Samaritans volunteers are there for those in need of our support."

Thanks for your support!
The event also directly sponsors the Scunthorpe & District Pony Club Charity, our donation goes to supporting the upkeep of their wonderful horse course :)
Updated version coming for 2026!
It's landed! Featuring you - the 2025 medal design was based on a photo from last year's race...we hope you like it!
Every life lost to suicide is a tragedy, and Samaritans’ vision is that fewer people die by suicide. We believe that suicide is preventable.
Samaritans is here for anyone struggling to cope – day or night, 365 days a year. We take action to prevent people reaching crisis point, helping people find ways to cope and learn the skills to be there for others. We campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.
Samaritans is a charity working across the UK and Ireland and we need donations to help fund our life-saving work.
That's why Curlys are partnering up with the Scunthorpe Samaritans. We're hoping to spread awareness about the incredible work they do, fundraise and hopefully reach some people who may be struggling.
Whatever you're going through, a Samaritan will face it with you. We're here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Every seven seconds, we respond to a call for help. No judgement. No pressure. We're here for anyone who needs someone.
